Small Fragment Locking System

Small Fragment Locking System

The Vadin Implants provides surgeons with a full range of small fragment locking trauma implants which is comprised by 14 types of plates and 5 types of screws. This system is designed for the treatment of the vast majority of humeral, clavicle and calcaneal fractures as well as for the treatment of complex extra- and intra-articular fractures of the distal tibia.

All implants are available in Titanium (Pure Titanium ISO 5832-2 and Titanium Alloy ISO 5832-3) and in Stainless Steel (ISO 5832-1) versions.

Small Fragment Locking System Options

3.5 mm LCP Proximal Humerus Locking Plates

  • Available in 7 sizes (4-10 holes, 110.5-182.5 mm long)
  • Anatomic shape to fit over the lateral proximal humerus with no or minimum bending
  • The screw trajectories in the plate’s head enable to cover the entire humeral head
  • The tapered design at the plate’s distal end facilitates easy submuscular passage

3.5 mm LCP Distal Lateral Humerus Locking Plates with Lateral Support

  • Available in 3 sizes (5-9 holes, 108-156 mm long)
  • Right and left versions
  • Pre-contoured shape to fit over the dorsal aspect of humerus lateral condyle
  • The tapered design at the plate’s distal end facilitates easy submuscular passage

3.5mm LCP Distal Lateral Humerus Locking Plates

  • Available in 3 sizes (5-9 holes, 108-156 mm long)
  • Right and left versions
  • Pre-contoured shape to fit over the dorsal aspect of humerus lateral condyle
  • The tapered design at the plate’s distal end facilitates easy submuscular passage

3.5 mm LCP Clavicle Hook Locking Plates

  • Available in 6 sizes (3-8 holes, 78.5-138.5 mm long)
  • Right and left versions
  • Anatomical shape to fit over the upper side of clavicle bones and to obtain appropriate passage of the hook under the acromion

3.5mm LCP Clavicle Locking S-Plates

  • Available in 5 sizes (6-10 holes, 65.5-117 mm long)
  • Right and left versions
  • Pre-contoured twisted S-shape, designed to fit over the clavicle shaft

3.5mm LCP Metaphyseal Locking Plates

  • Available in 6 sizes (6-12 holes, 86-164 mm long)
  • Easily contoured plates as to address any complex characteristics along the metaphysis of long bones of the upper limb
  • Designed to reduce the contact between the plate and the bone as to have minimum impact on the proper blood supply of the fractured region
  • The narrow rounded distal tip on the distal end facilitates easy submuscular passage

3.5 mm Limited Contact - Locking Compression Plates

  • Available in 9 sizes (4-12 holes, 56-160 mm long)
  • Designed to reduce the contact between the plate and the bone as to have minimum impact on the proper blood supply of the fractured region
  • The narrow rounded tips on both ends facilitate easy submuscular passage

3.5mm LCP Humerus Locking Plates

  • Available in 8 sizes (5-14 holes, 69-186 mm long)
  • Designed to reduce the contact between the plate and the bone as to have minimum impact on the proper blood supply of the fractured region
  • The narrow rounded tips on both ends facilitate easy submuscular passage

3.5mm LCP Reconstruction Locking Plates

  • Available in 8 sizes (5-12 holes, 60-144 mm long)
  • Particularly flexible plates both in the axial and perpendicular axis as to be easily contoured to address any complex characteristics along the metaphysis, diaphysis and condylar region of long and small bones
  • Designed to reduce the contact between the plate and the bone as to have minimum impact on the proper blood supply of the fractured region

One-Third Tubular Locking Plates

  • Available in 9 sizes (4-12 holes, 49-145 mm long)
  • The tubular shape of these plates facilitates the neutralization of any shear or bending forces which could undermine the stability of screw fixation

Calcaneal Locking Plates I

  • Available in 2 sizes (60 and 68.5 mm)
  • Right and left versions

Calcaneal Locking Plates II

  • Available in 2 sizes (60 and 68.5 mm)
  • Right and left versions
  • Versatile design as to address various fracture patterns

Calcaneal Locking Plates III

  • Right and left versions

3.5mm LCP Distal Medial Tibia Locking Plates

  • Available in 5 sizes (6-14 holes, 139.5-243.5 mm long)
  • Right and left versions
  • Pre-contoured shape to fit over the distal tibia
  • The tapered design at the distal end facilitates easy submuscular passage whereas the narrow rounded edges facilitate the minimum soft tissue irritation

3.5mm Cortical Locking Screws

  • Available in 27 sizes (12-64 mm long, in 2 mm increments)
  • Core diameter 2.9 mm
  • Hexagonical head for use with 2.5 mm Screw Driver
  • The self-taping feature eliminate the use of bone tap

2.7mm Cortical Locking Screws

  • Available in 13 sizes (6-30 mm long, in 2 mm increments)
  • Core diameter 2.0 mm
  • Hexagonical head for use with 2.5 mm Screw Driver
  • The self-taping feature eliminate the use of bone tap

3.5mm Cortical Screws

  • Available in 20 sizes (12-50 mm long, in 2 mm increments)
  • Core diameter 2.5 mm
  • Hexagonical head for use with 2.5 mm Screw Driver
  • The spherical design under the screw head provides compression whereas the thick core provides strength

4.0mm Cancellous Screws, Fully Threaded

  • Available in 21 sizes (12-52 mm long, in 2 mm increments)
  • Core diameter 2.5 mm
  • Hexagonical head for use with 2.5 mm Screw Driver
